#APSRTC, Senior Citizens may not travel alone

We are currently having my parents here; my father told me that starting July 1st, Senior citizens could avail about 25% of concession on buses run by Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) by providing Aadhar Card number or any document that is proof of age. Which is great gesture by the corporation.

For their return journey, I was booking tickets using APSRTC Online Booking portal. Have chosen category as “Senior Citizen” and provided other details. But when I submit, I was prompted that only one passenger can be booked. That gave me a surprise. There could be situations that senior citizens may not be able to travel alone or even in general, they would travel with spouse and/or children. Finally I had to make two seperate bookings to avail the discount.
