An important thing one must teach to children within their age of 10

Writing this after listening to a video of Dr. Sri. Garikapati Narasimha Rao garu about nature of Swami Vivekananda since his childhood days.

Swami Vivekanada has a nature of giving to needy almost from his age of four. If he finds someone without cloths, he used to just give away cloths that he was wearing. One day his mother made him to stay in his father’s room with an intention that he would know limits of giving. Since his father’s room is full of books, she thought he cannot do anything. But he found long coats of his father hanged in the room and found someone without cloths from the window, so he as thrown those coats from the window for needy people.

Shri. Swamy’s mother did not punish him or scold him for giving away things; if she has done that, we may not have got Shri. Swami.

With his life, what we need to learn – especially parents, that when a child reports saying that he/she gave his/her tiffen or pencil or whatever to other children or other children just took away from him/her, we must not scold them instead, we should assure them we will give for two children next day. Inculcation habit of giving from childhood would make him/her a responsible citizen in the future.

Let’s contribute to build better world!
