July 1, National Doctors Day

I felt extremely happy when I saw a tweet from Ms. Kiran Mazundar Shaw wishing on the occasion of National Doctors Day and my heart prompted me to pen a few lines remembering doctors who help us and a few additional thoughts. Firstly, a warm love and greetings to all doctors around the world; you all do an incredible job.

Now let me list a few doctors who helped us so far.
Dr. Duddu Sathya Narayana Murthy – he is our family member as well as first doctor in my life. He is my pediatrician, physician, consultant, etc., Even today, when I need some clarification on any medication, I just call him.

Dr. Tarun Sharma, Dr. Venkateswara Rao These both have tried their best to bring sight to my left eye which is total absence of sight though it was not really successful.

Dr. Dhanaraj of Paromita Hospital He saved my brother’s elder son Kaushik who developed a serious problem in the stomach at his age of 8.

Dr. Gayathri Karthik She is best ever gynecologists that I’m aware of. I still remember her words during our first meeting “Listen, you need to do a lot of exercises etc., while working with me; so if you prepared to listen to me, please continue to see me else you are welcome to consult other doctor”. Thanks to her, we had normal delivery for our first child Varshi and recently she helped Hema in a serious situation.

Dr. Mala Sibal She has been our Fetal consultant and explains really well during scan. Has a lot of energy

Dr. Karthik Nagesh He has been advising us for better care of our daughter Varshi. What I liked most about Dr. Gayathri and Dr. Karthik Nagesh is that they do not prefer to give a lot of medicines.

Dr. Ellora Sahoo We met her in our home area and she is very simple, with a small clinic, less fee, provides efficient advice.

Thank you all doctors, you have been a great support.

Historically, a card or red carnation may be sent to physicians and their spouses, along with a flower being placed on the graves of deceased physicians.

While there are a lot of incredible doctors, sadly there are a few who doesn’t really care about patients. My sincere appeal to such doctors is that please either do your best or quit profession as a doctor. Because you may become reason for someone to leave this world.
