February 20, 2018 • Srinivasu Chakravarthula

As we are aware re-verification of mobile SIM subscription by linking Aadhar is mandatory and needs to be done by 31st March, 2018. Here is a easy method for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) subscribers.

One has to just dial 14516 from BSNL mobile phone and follow the instructions. It will ask you to choose a preferred language, then prompt you to enter 12 digit Aadhar number. Upon verification of Aadhar number, user will receive a one time password on the mobile number linked with Aadhar which needs to be entered when prompted.

In a few minutes or sometimes in a day, user will receive a text message asking confirmation if user has requested re-verification. User needs to reply with “Yes” to given number. That’s all process will be completed!

Life has slightly changed after started using fitness tracker

February 19, 2018 • Srinivasu Chakravarthula

Recently my work place has introduced a wellness program which came with a freebie of a fitness tracker. Post that, life has changed a little and sure way to go!

Though I love to walk, never bothered about making note of steps I have taken, if I have used, though, in between I used to just look at the steps that I have taken in a day but not really seriously. Now with the tracker and app, I started taking note of my steps; specially it encourages, when I look myself against steps taken by my colleagues.

I love taking stairs too; but again never got them counted. Now with the tracker, I do that as well. Another improvement is I never used to take fruits regularly but now fruit is part of my breakfast. Each day I get to read a new thing about healthy life. In addition, now I do also track my sleep time!

Using tracking apps and devices are motivational!

Amazon’s customer service is amazing!

February 16, 2018 • Srinivasu Chakravarthula

We have been using Amazon.in for a while and always experience is seem-less. A few things that we like about amazon are:

  • Ability to change in delivery address
  • Quite often products are delivered before committed date
  • Quality of packaging is always good
  • Recently, we have received a few products that did not meet our requirements; when we have approached customer service, they have helped us with easy return; we did not have to courier ourselves; we just had to schedule a time for their executive to pick up. For products that are non-returnable, they have arranged a free replacement
  • Refunds are made as per our choice either to Amazon wallet or to our card
  • Contacting customer service is pretty easy. In fact, we get a call back with a click

Overall, experience with Amazon.in is pretty good!

Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivarathri

February 13, 2018 • Srinivasu Chakravarthula

Maha Shivarathri is one of the auspicious festivals in India where people offer special worship to Lord Shiva. This is also a festival where people do fasting and observe night staying awake.

More about Maha Shivarathri

Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the god Shiva. There is a Shivaratri in every luni-solar month of the Hindu calendar, on the month’s 13th night/14th day, but once a year in late winter (February/March, or Phalguna) and before the arrival of Summer, marks Maha Shivaratri which means “the Great Night of Shiva”.

It is a major festival in Hinduism, this festival is solemn and marks a remembrance of “overcoming darkness and ignorance” in life and the world. It is observed by remembering Shiva and chanting prayers, fasting, doing Yoga, and meditating on ethics and virtues such as self-restraint, honesty, noninjury to others, forgiveness, and the discovery of Shiva.[5] The ardent devotees keep awake all night. Others visit one of the Shiva temples or go on pilgrimage to Jyotirlingams. This is an ancient Hindu festival whose origin date is unknown.
