Updates… CSUN, NAB Karnataka Elections, Indian currency, US elections etc.,

I’m excited that my submission titled “Accessibility Strategy for Existing, on-going and future digital products” has been accepted to present at 32nd CSUN Assistive Technology Conference to be held during March, 2017 at San Diego, USA. Though I am not yet sure if I would be ravelling for this conference due to budget limitations.

Finally elections for The National Association for the Blind, Karnataka Branch were held on 6th November, 2016 and team led by Alok Kshirsagar has won the elections with huge support of members. Full list of newly elected office bearers will be posted on the organization’s website soon. Though there were enough things done by agitators to disrupt the elections but elections have been held as per the law.

On 8th November, evening Shri. Narendra Modi has announced that INR 500 and INR 1000 currency notes will no longer be valid and government shall re-issue new currency notes of INR 500 and new denomination of INR 2000/- notes. It is a great move to kill the black money. Common citizens can deposit existing 500 and 1000 INR currency notes into the banks before 31st December, 2016.

Donald Trump has just elected as 45th President of the United States of America. Congratulations, Trump. Let’s hope you will have a successful tenure.
